Information on annual state testing
Subjects included in the Common Core State Standards (English language arts and math) will be assessed using the Smarter Balanced system as of the 2014-2015 school year.
In grades 3-8, students take Smarter Balanced tests and MSP for federal accountability. Student scores on these tests determine a school’s adequate yearly progress (AYP) status.
The testing window runs from March-June. Classroom teachers will notify families of specific testing dates. You can find more information on state testing on the Lake Washington School District Website.
