Library Information

Curriculum

Students learn a variety of skills during Library classes in addition to checking out books:

  • Library skills
  • Research and Citation Skills
  • Digital Citizenship Skills
  • Choosing books for particular purposes that will help students foster a love of reading and enhancing life skills.

Checkout Policy

Students grades K-1 can check out one book at a time, while grades 2-5 may check out two books at a time. Students are welcome to come to the Library in between Library classes to trade books out as needed. Books are due one week from their check-out date, but may be renewed up to two times.

Rules and Expectations

Students are expected to:

  • Respect their classmates
  • Respect the Library environment and materials
  • Take care of the books they have checked-out and return them on time
  • Practice good digital citizenship practices when using technology in the classroom
  • Show their best effort while completing assignments
